Practice your memory verses:
However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him—1 Corinthians 2:9

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalm 30:5

Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Psalm 139

Activity 2-Read these verses and write a general reason for the sadness.

Example:

Ruth 1:13 Would you keep yourselves till they were old enough? would you keep from having husbands for them? No, my daughters; but I am very sad for you that the hand of the Lord is against me.

Reason: Sad for others because their lives are affected in a negative way by hers.

Mark 3:5 And looking round on them he was angry, being sad because of their hard hearts; and he said to the man, Put out your hand. And he put it out, and his hand was made well.

Reason: _________________________________________________________

1 Samuel 15:11 It is no longer my pleasure for Saul to be king; for he is turned back from going in my ways, and has not done my orders. And Samuel was very sad, crying to the Lord in prayer all night.

Reason: _________________________________________________________

John 16:6 But grief has filled your hearts because I have said all this to you.

Acts 21:13 His reply was, "What can you mean by thus breaking my heart with your grief? Why, as for me, I am ready not only to go to Jerusalem and be put in chains, but even to die there for the sake of the Lord Jesus."

Reason: _________________________________________________________

Lamentations 1:4 The ways of Zion are sad, because no one comes to the holy meeting; all her doorways are made waste, her priests are breathing out sorrow: her virgins are troubled, and it is bitter for her.

Reason: _________________________________________________________

Job 10:1 My soul is tired of life; I will let my sad thoughts go free in words; my soul will make a bitter outcry.

Job 14:22 Only his flesh still has pain, and his soul is sad.

Job 30:25 Have I not been weeping for the crushed? and was not my soul sad for him who was in need?

Reason: _________________________________________________________
