From the Pulpit--Afraid to Ask

Isaiah 7: 10-16

Have you ever asked God for a sign?  Show me you are there, God! If this is a good idea, show me a sign!  Ever been afraid that He would show you a sign and that it would be more than you wanted to know or do?  This was Ahaz, but Isaiah wouldn't let him off the hook....

An Invitation

When was the last time you got an invitation?  Was the person excited or was it a "have to"? Were you excited in return or was it a "have to"?  And what about the day of the invent?  Still excited?  or is it one of those events where you have to get all dressed up?  or maybe you have to prepare something to take with you?
